At its core, the system features next-generation microchannel cooling coils that maximize heat transfer while minimizing airflow resistance. These coils are produced using a precision controlled atmosphere brazing (CAB) process, enabling the permanent bonding of microchannel tubes to louvred fins for optimal thermal contact. Their compact, lightweight aluminum construction not only enhances durability but also significantly reduces refrigerant requirements and environmental impact.

By utilizing flat microchannel tubes with smaller hydraulic diameters, the system dramatically increases surface-to-volume ratios, boosting thermal efficiency. The unique geometry of the coils disrupts boundary layers to improve air mixing while preventing airflow shadowing, resulting in a lower airside pressure drop and more effective airflow distribution. The coils are enclosed in a sealed plenum, ensuring uniform airflow across the coil surface for superior heat exchange while supporting fast, tool-free coil cleaning using compressed air without system shutdown.

To accommodate diverse cooling strategies, HiNova® In-Row CW units are configurable in online or in-line layouts, enabling either direct rack cooling or integration into cold aisle/hot aisle architectures. Precision performance is driven by an intelligent controller with local and remote access, real-time analytics, health diagnostics, and energy usage monitoring. For mission-critical environments, optional upgrades include controller backup power and dual power supplies with automatic switchover.

Air delivery is powered by high-efficiency radial fans-lightweight, low-noise units equipped with EC motors and integrated thermal protection. They feature adjustable variable-speed control via a standard 0–10V signal, ensuring precise airflow modulation with minimal energy consumption while operating quietly in acoustically insulated housings.

The HiNova® In-Row CW also incorporates a fully automated chilled water flow management system. By monitoring pressure drops in real time, the system regulates two-way valves without user intervention, ensuring optimal coolant distribution through the coils. This smart balancing technology is especially advantageous in variable-flow chilled water systems and completely eliminates manual flow balancing. Optional control configurations include FlowCon PICV or energy valves, while humidifiers and electric heaters can be added where required.

The system is purpose-built for data centers, server rooms, telecom facilities, cloud and edge computing infrastructure, and industrial IT environments. Through modular construction and seamless BAS integration, the HiNova® In-Row CW simplifies installation, increases system adaptability, and enhances long-term reliability-delivering exceptional operational efficiency and reduced total cost of ownership (TCO) for facilities with high thermal demands.
